I have been to lots of the monthly seminars over the last few years, they are awesome.  You get that extra attention that you can't get in the regular weekly classes due to the number of students.  The extra training brings on your control, aggression and is also a good physical workout as you are training flatout for 3 hours.  You get to swap training partners every half hour or so, so you get used to training with people of all shapes and sizes, which prepares you for the street, as you never know who might attack you in a real life situation.
